Printable Sukkot Menu Template 2022

Sukkos Menu Template — Printable, Downloadable, and Shareable

Hello! I’m so excited to share a downloadable, printable, and shareable Sukkos menu template that many of you have been asking for and enjoy each year.

This menu draws on a number of recipes from my cookbook My Pesach Kitchen. Although that book focuses on Pesach, many of the recipes are versatile and used throughout the year, especially during Yomtov season. I’ve included the cookbook name here for reference without linking directly to any retailers.

I’ve used this template for years. Long before I had regular access to a computer I designed this layout by hand with pen, paper, and a ruler. I’m a very visual person and prefer to see each meal clearly laid out in boxes so I can plan at a glance. If a box does not apply to a particular meal (for example, I don’t serve soup for a daytime meal) I draw an X through the box so the plan stays neat and uncluttered.

My approach to menu planning is intentionally simple. When I build the menu I usually aim for:

  • An appetizer or starters selection
  • A variety of dips or spreads
  • A main protein (I rotate between poultry and beef and don’t always include two proteins unless I expect larger numbers of guests)
  • Accompaniments and side dishes that are easy to reheat or serve
  • Assorted desserts and fruit for variety

For dips and desserts, I list all the varieties on the template even when I don’t serve them all at the same meal. This helps me see everything available across the holiday and decide when best to serve each item without duplicating effort.

How I use the template in practice:

  • Fill in the main courses first so you can organize shopping and timing around proteins and oven/stovetop space.
  • Plan appetizers and dips with overlap in mind — many dips work equally well across multiple days and serve as quick, attractive starters.
  • Mark boxes that won’t be used with an X to avoid confusion during busy meal service.
  • Write desserts and lighter items on the template so you don’t overplan heavy courses back-to-back.
  • Use the template to schedule prep tasks in advance: what can be made a day or two earlier, what must be done the morning of, and what can be assembled quickly just before serving.

This format helps keep the menu balanced and the kitchen organized. It also makes it easier to scale up when guests increase: simply add another protein or expand side dishes while keeping the same framework.

I plan to add links to recipes and helpful notes as the week goes on, G‑d willing, so you’ll have ideas for dishes that work well with the template. For now, feel free to download and print the PDF template and adapt it to your family’s needs.

If you prefer a handwritten approach, the layout is designed to be just as useful on paper as it is on screen: clear boxes, space for notes, and a straightforward structure to guide you through planning multiple meals over Yomtov.

Wishing you an organized, relaxed, and delicious Sukkos. May your holiday preparations go smoothly and your meals bring joy to your table.
